Our trainees graduated last January 25, 2017, Wednesday at the Argao Sports Complex. The graduation was graced by Hon. Stanley S. Caminero, municipal mayor of Argao, together with Mr. Dexter Gimena, Regional Convergence Coordinator of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), representing DSWD's Regional Director Ma. Evelyn B. Macapobre. The program started a little after 10:00 am and finished before 12:00 nn.

We had a total of ten (10) Hilot graduates, twenty-four (24) for Housekeeping, and thirty (30) for Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM). All these successful trainees were so happy to have been given their training certificates plus starter tool kits that contain the following: Hilot - towels (face, hand, foot), mask, massage oils, massage lotion, alcohol. Housekeeping - rubber boots, rubber gloves, tumbler, hairnet, mask, apron, tool kit bag. EIM - hard hat, different kinds of pliers, and a tool pouch. The starter kits are part of the scholarship funding provided by the Municipality of Argao. It is our hope that all our beneficiaries will make good use of their own starter kit to begin their own business considering the skills they have acquired.

The graduates from CTU-Argao also received their share of starter equipment: sewing machine, microwave oven, gas range, etc. Everyone was indeed happy to have left the sports complex after the graduation. It's as if they won a jackpot!

We are grateful to Hon. Caminero and his staff for the attentive support they gave in making this partnership a reality. We are looking forward to running more projects in the municipality of Argao for this year!
