Strong Work Group: Empowering Women


Primary Structures Educational Foundation Incorporated has been instrumental in helping women realize their potential, inspiring them to go beyond their limits, improving their quality of life and pursue their dreams of a better and brighter future. 

One of its flagship programs on women empowerment. The foundation opened the 2nd batch of Strong Work Group for Women Project that aims to train and certify women in non-traditional program particularly on construction work as well as empowers women by providing technical skills in the construction trade and mainstream them in a male-dominated industry, thereby helping them to earn a livable wage and be able to support their family and children and develop dignity at work.  
The training program will allow fifteen (15) women beneficiaries to acquire multi-skills in Carpentry NC II, Masonry NC II, Tile Setting NC II and Plumbing NC II from Sept. 4, 2017, to February 2018. Part of its advocacy for gender equality. 
PSEFI integrated the life skills program for 2 weeks to teach work ethics and professionalism, team building, gender awareness and sensitivity, safety and women's protection, reproductive health and child care, and entrepreneurship. To date, these women were able to pass the competency assessment on carpentry, masonry and tile setting.  
Primary Structures Corporation (PSC) fully supports the program by providing the project sites during their on-the-job training, allowance of P270.00 per day and employment after graduation.

2017: Hilot Wellness Massage NC II Training for Senior High School Students

Cebu City --- We started the new year 2017 with two groups undergoing extensive training in Hilot Wellness Massage NC II. Our Grade 11 Senior High School students and the scholars of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), kicked-off the year with lectures, practical demonstration and on-the-job training about Hilot Wellness. Mr. Marben C. Manabat, RN, is the one on top of this tech-voc training. Our DSWD scholars set-up their Hilot Wellness facility in two venues: Circa 1900-Casa Dos, a restaurant located in Sanjercasville, Lahug, Cebu City, and at 2 Quad Building in Cebu Business Park. The student-trainees will be giving free massage to the guests, clients, employees of the said establishments. SKILLS SHS BUWAN NG WIKA CELEBRATION 2018

With this year’s theme,  “Filipino: Wika ng Saliksik” , SKILLS Inc. commemorated the Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa in August. It was celebrated with a variety of exciting and fun  “Larong Pinoy”.  Students played different Filipino games every Monday. To showcase the creativity of the senior high school students, a poster making and an essay writing contest were held simultaneously on August 17, 2018.   The month-long celebration culminated in a very festive mood with four major activities on August 31, 2018. In the morning, the “ Paluan ng Palayok ”  played as one of the “ Larong Pinoy ”. Classrooms were embellished with typical decorations to depict the “ Fiesta sa Nayon ”, as each class section prepared an assortment of native Filipino food and competed in the “ Unahan sa Pagkain ng Balut ” contest.
