PSEFI-SKILLS Management and BIKEN staff with the trainees
A memorandum of mutual understanding (MOMU) was signed and entered into by and between the School of Knowledge for Industrial Labor, Leadership and Service (SKILLS) and Biken Techno Phils., Inc. (BIKEN), an affiliate of Biken Techno Corporation, Japan, last October 20, 2016. This is working towards the ongoing program implementation called "Biken Advanced Cleaning and Maintenance" being held here in SKILLS. Training started on February 1 and will end on February 8, 2017, Wednesday. After the program, employees/trainees will have opportunities to have on-the-job training (OJT) utilizing the skills and knowledge they learned.

Conducting the training with BIKEN's Mr. Hikichi,
Mr. Hayashi and Mr. Nishikawa
The objectives of the program are the following: to provide BIKEN's employees, selected SKILLS trainees and Primary employees who are conducting cleaning work in the Primary Group, an opportunity to learn modern cleaning and maintenance skills and techniques as  well as work ethics; to establish a new course in SKILLS and extend the know-how, skills and knowledge in the Cebu area; to demonstrate efficient cleaning and maintenance techniques through BIKEN's style of cleaning technology.

At Avalon Condominium
It is hoped that these above-mentioned objectives be attained via lectures, practical equipment training, and actual work (OJT) in a commercial area.

BIKEN's Mr. Tatsuya Hikichi leads the group in the country in advancing the BIKEN cleaning technology. BIKEN trainers Mr. Tetsuro Hayashi and Mr. Masashi Nishikawa flew in from Manila to conduct the hands-on training with about twenty (20) trainees, half of which are being prepared by BIKEN to work in Japan in a few month's time. Among the different cleaning skills and techniques, the trainers teach the right way of sweeping, mopping, toilet cleaning, water closet cleaning, and polishing floors, using the best cleaning equipment, cleaning solutions and implements.

SKILLS is providing the training place and facilities, plus needed bed space at the SKILLS dormitory should there be non-Cebu trainees attending the program. SKILLS is also committed to assist in the OJT placement of the program's trainees.

They are also set to activate partnership with SKILLS and the Primary Group of Builders to expand business, not only for cleaning and maintenance service but also for other categories such as restaurant, house care management and other future business segments which offer mutual benefit, enhancement and growth to both parties.

BIKEN, which means Beautiful Building or Beauty Facility in Japanese, is a big corporation based in Osaka, Japan. It has been in the business of providing cleaning solutions for more than fifty years now. BIKEN is committed to contribute to society through their services which zero-in on Facility Management, Property Management and Building Maintenance.
