The 23rd Commencement Exercises at the Municipality of Dalaguete

Sixty-four (64) successful trainees of Housekeeping NC II, Carpentry NC II, and Masonry NC II graduated last March 10, 2016, Thursday, held at Dalaguete's Sports Complex. These students are all products of the mobile training program conducted by PSEFI-SKILLS in the Municipality of Dalaguete since December 2015. They are also beneficiaries of their local government unit's Accelerated and Sustainable Anti-Poverty Program (ASAPP).

Dalaguete's Hon. Vice-Mayor Jeffrey Belciña gave the Inspirational and Keynote Message during the graduation, representing Dalaguete Mayor Ronald Allan G. Cesante. Attending the event were Mr. Larry Rocero, Municipal Focal Person of the ASAPP program, representatives from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), National Economic Development Authority (NEDA), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Education (DepEd), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic
Resources (BFAR).

Primary Structures Educational Foundation, Inc. (PSEFI) and SKILLS Executive Director, Dr. Maritess H, Requina, conferred and confirmed the members of the graduating batch as presented by newly-installed SKILLS Academic Director, Dr. Bobby M. Cabangon. Engr. Steve Y. Banzon, SKILLS Technical Training Director, presented the graduates to all the distinguished guests present. The trainers of these graduates of the mobile training program are: Engr. Steve Y. Banzon (Basic and Common Competencies for Carpentry and Masonry), Engr. Teddy Taray (Masonry), Engr. Frederick Belciña (Carpentry) and Mr. Marben C. Manabat (Housekeeping).

Three graduates gave the testimonial in this culminating activity: Ms. Elvenia Sardenio (Housekeeping), Mr. Live Salonoy (Carpentry) and Mr. Rogelio Amay (Masonry).

2017: Hilot Wellness Massage NC II Training for Senior High School Students

Cebu City --- We started the new year 2017 with two groups undergoing extensive training in Hilot Wellness Massage NC II. Our Grade 11 Senior High School students and the scholars of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), kicked-off the year with lectures, practical demonstration and on-the-job training about Hilot Wellness. Mr. Marben C. Manabat, RN, is the one on top of this tech-voc training. Our DSWD scholars set-up their Hilot Wellness facility in two venues: Circa 1900-Casa Dos, a restaurant located in Sanjercasville, Lahug, Cebu City, and at 2 Quad Building in Cebu Business Park. The student-trainees will be giving free massage to the guests, clients, employees of the said establishments. On the one hand, our Grade 11 students will need more time to practice Hilot skills in the Wellness Laboratory of the Hospitality Training Center here in SKILLS. SKILLS SHS BUWAN NG WIKA CELEBRATION 2018

With this year’s theme,  “Filipino: Wika ng Saliksik” , SKILLS Inc. commemorated the Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa in August. It was celebrated with a variety of exciting and fun  “Larong Pinoy”.  Students played different Filipino games every Monday. To showcase the creativity of the senior high school students, a poster making and an essay writing contest were held simultaneously on August 17, 2018.   The month-long celebration culminated in a very festive mood with four major activities on August 31, 2018. In the morning, the “ Paluan ng Palayok ”  played as one of the “ Larong Pinoy ”. Classrooms were embellished with typical decorations to depict the “ Fiesta sa Nayon ”, as each class section prepared an assortment of native Filipino food and competed in the “ Unahan sa Pagkain ng Balut ” contest.
