Team building at the Naga Valley Industrial Park (NAVA) Cebu City --- PSEFI-SKILLS has committed itself to promote resilience and resourcefulness among its Senior High School students when it first launched Scouting last year, May 16, 2016. This project was proposed and implemented by no less than Primary Structures Corporation's President, Mr. William Liu, Jr. The student-participants were chosen during their enrollment after the interview conducted by SKILLS' Student Affairs Officer. First-aid training The scouts' training started with an orientation about the vision-mission of the school, an overview of the organizational chart of scouting, and the students' responsibilities. Cebu City --- We started the new year 2017 with two groups undergoing extensive training in Hilot Wellness Massage NC II. Our Grade 11 Senior High School students and the scholars of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), kicked-off the year with lectures, practical demonstration and on-the-job training about Hilot Wellness. Mr. Marben C. Manabat, RN, is the one on top of this tech-voc training. Our DSWD scholars set-up their Hilot Wellness facility in two venues: Circa 1900-Casa Dos, a restaurant located in Sanjercasville, Lahug, Cebu City, and at 2 Quad Building in Cebu Business Park. The student-trainees will be giving free massage to the guests, clients, employees of the said establishments. On the one hand, our Grade 11 students will need more time to practice Hilot skills in the Wellness Laboratory of the Hospitality Training Center here in SKILLS. Our Senior High School students finished their Intramurals held last September 28-30, 2016 (Wed-Fri), with the event dubbed as SKILLYMPICS 2016: Ignite the Spirit of Unity and Strength in PSEFI-SKILLS through Sports! The students competed in different events such as Cheering, Basketball, Badminton, Volleyball, Table Tennis and Chess. Capping the Intrams was Mr. and Ms. SKILLYMPICS 2016, with the awarding ceremony held last September 30. There were four competing teams: Black Vipers, Graygators, Blue Nittany Lions and Red Horse Warriors. SKILLS campus' four corners were occupied with the different competitions. The basketball games were held at the Old Sacred Heart gym, table tennis and chess at the multi-purpose hall, and the cheering & volleyball competitions at the outdoor court area. PSEFI-SKILLS has finally opened the Senior High School Enrollment for Academic Year 2016-2017 yesterday, with around 20 would-be students coming to the campus, all bent to take the Industrial Arts (Carpentry, Masonry, Reinforced Steel Bar Installation and Scaffold Erection) and Home Economics (Housekeeping and Household Services) courses being offered by SKILLS to qualified students. The expected public high schools where SKILLS are Pajo, Pusok, Babag, Zapatera, Lahug, Mabolo, Apas, Ramon Duterte, Tejero, Tingub, Tipolo, and Don Gerardo Ouano, among others. Mr. James Allan Sayson, Student Affairs Officer, is the one facilitating the enrollment along with the Senior High School faculty. PSEFI-SKILLS is expecting a maximum of 540 students when school opens this June 2016.
