Senior High School's SKILLYMPICS 2016

Our Senior High School students finished their Intramurals held last September 28-30, 2016 (Wed-Fri), with the event dubbed as SKILLYMPICS 2016: Ignite the Spirit of Unity and Strength in PSEFI-SKILLS through Sports!

The students competed in different events such as Cheering, Basketball, Badminton, Volleyball, Table Tennis and Chess. Capping the Intrams was Mr. and Ms. SKILLYMPICS 2016, with the awarding ceremony held last September 30.

There were four competing teams: Black Vipers, Graygators, Blue Nittany Lions and Red Horse Warriors. SKILLS campus' four corners were occupied with the different competitions. The basketball games were held at the Old Sacred Heart gym, table tennis and chess at the multi-purpose hall, and the cheering & volleyball competitions at the outdoor court area. Mr. and Ms. SKILLYMPICS 2016 was also held at the multi-purpose hall.

We would like to congratulate the Senior High School faculty & staff led by Dr. Eunice B. Raz, Ms. Angiela Castillo, Head Teacher, Mr. Neil Villarazo, Student Affairs Officer, Ms. Mitziel Toledo, Guidance Counselor, Ms. June Carmille Cabando, School Librarian/English teacher who emceed the event, and the class advisers/team moderators: Ms. Vellen Delfin, Ms. Rochelle Cabatingan, Ms. Annaliza Padayao, Mr. Marison Donaire, Mr. Javic Cabalda, Mr. Marben Manabat; and the support staff: Mr. Apolo Baccol, Student Records Officer; Accounting staff Ms. Denesse Villagonzalo, Ms. Danielle Fernando, Ms. Jackie Vernaiz who assisted in game scoring and judging of different events, and Ms. Mayline Lipnica for designing the Intramurals shirt.

2017: Hilot Wellness Massage NC II Training for Senior High School Students

Cebu City --- We started the new year 2017 with two groups undergoing extensive training in Hilot Wellness Massage NC II. Our Grade 11 Senior High School students and the scholars of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), kicked-off the year with lectures, practical demonstration and on-the-job training about Hilot Wellness. Mr. Marben C. Manabat, RN, is the one on top of this tech-voc training. Our DSWD scholars set-up their Hilot Wellness facility in two venues: Circa 1900-Casa Dos, a restaurant located in Sanjercasville, Lahug, Cebu City, and at 2 Quad Building in Cebu Business Park. The student-trainees will be giving free massage to the guests, clients, employees of the said establishments. On the one hand, our Grade 11 students will need more time to practice Hilot skills in the Wellness Laboratory of the Hospitality Training Center here in SKILLS. SKILLS SHS BUWAN NG WIKA CELEBRATION 2018

With this year’s theme,  “Filipino: Wika ng Saliksik” , SKILLS Inc. commemorated the Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa in August. It was celebrated with a variety of exciting and fun  “Larong Pinoy”.  Students played different Filipino games every Monday. To showcase the creativity of the senior high school students, a poster making and an essay writing contest were held simultaneously on August 17, 2018.   The month-long celebration culminated in a very festive mood with four major activities on August 31, 2018. In the morning, the “ Paluan ng Palayok ”  played as one of the “ Larong Pinoy ”. Classrooms were embellished with typical decorations to depict the “ Fiesta sa Nayon ”, as each class section prepared an assortment of native Filipino food and competed in the “ Unahan sa Pagkain ng Balut ” contest. A presentation of different Filipino folk dances, “ SKILLS Galing OPM ” contest and the  “Gandang Pinay at Gwapong Pinoy 2018”  was held in the afternoon   to conclude the Buwan ng
