PSEFI-SKILLS Visits Ramon Duterte National High School for the Senior High School Program Campaign

In an effort to increase the number of enrollees for the technical-vocational courses we are offering here in SKILLS, Dr. Bobby M. Cabangon, Assistant Academic Director and Ms. Michelle C. Salon, Marketing and Project Officer, visited Ramon Duterte National High School (NHS) in Brgy. Guadalupe, Cebu City, to campaign to its Grade 10 students last February 20, 2016, Saturday, from 11:00 am to 12:00 nn. Enrolment forms were given out to those interested to pursue the technical-vocational track here in SKILLS.

We would like to thank Mr. Normando L. Panilag, Ramon Duterte NHS's School Principal, and Mrs. Luti Baya, Guidance Counselor, for making the visit possible. PSEFI-SKILLS coincided with other universities and technical-vocational institutes during this weekend campaign.

Joint Delivery Voucher Program

It's a hassle-free and friendly partnership program initiated by the Department of Education through D.O. 33 series of 2018 on the Joint Delivery Voucher Program (JDVP). This will provide a lot of assistance to our national high school students specifically the senior high school who would like to experience the actual laboratory equipment and world-class facilities by using the state-of the-art technology at the Technical Vocational Institutions (TVI) like SKILLS, Inc. Senior high school students will be taught holistically that includes technical knowledge, sufficient skills and well-rounded attitude as they prepare themselves for the real world of work in the industry. 2017: Hilot Wellness Massage NC II Training for Senior High School Students

Cebu City --- We started the new year 2017 with two groups undergoing extensive training in Hilot Wellness Massage NC II. Our Grade 11 Senior High School students and the scholars of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), kicked-off the year with lectures, practical demonstration and on-the-job training about Hilot Wellness. Mr. Marben C. Manabat, RN, is the one on top of this tech-voc training. Our DSWD scholars set-up their Hilot Wellness facility in two venues: Circa 1900-Casa Dos, a restaurant located in Sanjercasville, Lahug, Cebu City, and at 2 Quad Building in Cebu Business Park. The student-trainees will be giving free massage to the guests, clients, employees of the said establishments. On the one hand, our Grade 11 students will need more time to practice Hilot skills in the Wellness Laboratory of the Hospitality Training Center here in SKILLS. SKILLS SHS BUWAN NG WIKA CELEBRATION 2018

With this year’s theme, “Filipino: Wika ng Saliksik” , SKILLS Inc. commemorated the Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa in August. It was celebrated with a variety of exciting and fun “Larong Pinoy”. Students played different Filipino games every Monday. To showcase the creativity of the senior high school students, a poster making and an essay writing contest were held simultaneously on August 17, 2018. The month-long celebration culminated in a very festive mood with four major activities on August 31, 2018. In the morning, the “ Paluan ng Palayok ” played as one of the “ Larong Pinoy ”. Classrooms were embellished with typical decorations to depict the “ Fiesta sa Nayon ”, as each class section prepared an assortment of native Filipino food and competed in the “ Unahan sa Pagkain ng Balut ” contest.
